Meet Anna Caroline Morrison | Owner of L.A. Green Nashville

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anna Caroline Morrison and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anna Caroline, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I believe one of the big factors behind the success of L.A. Green is the way that we strive to make each and every customer who walks through our doors feel comfortable and confident. Every good relationship in your life has a solid foundation that is built on trust, and that relates to my customer service mindset as well. It is not always about making every sale that we possibly can and having customers feel pressured into purchasing something they might not be prepared to commit to – but making you feel at ease and fully assured in your style with the items we have curated for you. My goal is to help you build your confidence with style and create an atmosphere where getting dressed, no matter the day or occasion, is fun and not stressful!

What should our readers know about your business?
L.A. Green is a lifestyle franchise boutique run by some pretty amazing women who aim to inspire value, integrity, and purpose. We currently have three locations: Nashville, TN, Starkville, MS, and Tupelo, MS – with a fourth location opening soon! We thrive on our customer relationships and love how every day has the opportunity to bring someone or something new into our lives.

Life is clearly never easy – if it was we would never learn to truly appreciate all of the good that comes our way. I, Anna Caroline, opened L.A. Green Nashville in November of 2019 full of so much excitement and anticipation. I had no idea the roller coaster we were all about to be sent on shortly after with the spread of Covid 19, the tornado that devastated many parts of Nashville, and by the end of that year, the explosions downtown on Christmas Eve night. It is safe to say that I cannot be caught off guard by much more after the first year of owning my own business in a brand new city away from home. I would not trade the hard times for anything different however, because they have molded me into who I am today and the outlook that I have on my life and career.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am such a sucker for a rooftop bar with a gorgeous view! Some of my favorites are Harriet’s, LA Jackson, and Rare Bird for a more upscale night. But Kid Rock’s and FGL House will forever be my favorites on Broadway for a fun day of live music with friends.

For brunch, I love taking my friends to Stateside Kitchen for an upbeat, fun atmosphere. I even hosted my bridal brunch here and we had the best time! But for the evenings, I always plan my schedule around where we can dine with the best food, but also where we can get the best espresso martinis. High on my list for this is Sixty Vines (their entire menu is just delicious) and Common Ground (their salted chocolate mandarin espresso martini will truly heal your soul).

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people that have helped pave the way for where I am today. I grew up in a small family business as a child, and seeing my grandparents pour so much of their blood, sweat, and tears into making their living from something that they loved to do each day was always in the back of my mind when I was considering a career path. A career path that led me to Lauren Ann Cooper, the founder of L.A. Green. She is based out of Starkville, MS where she still owns and operates our flagship location. Being able to have the support of someone so knowledgable in the industry and who is always in your corner is something that I will never take for granted. She keeps me motivated every single day.

I would definitely not make it through the tough seasons without the encouragement of my friends who always shower me with love – or the unwavering support of my parents, who will pick up and drive 4 hours to help me at any given time. But also being able to celebrate the highs with them is even more rewarding. I owe a lot of love to a lot of people!
