We had the good fortune of connecting with Angel Bender and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angel, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting a business is not easy…and starting a business alone is not easy. My thought process behind starting my own business was actually quite simple. I knew that I had to pick a niche, solve a problem, and provide something useful to clients. I’ve been doing graphic design since 2016 and I wanted to use my talents in a way to help others grow.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I run a graphic design subscription business. I did this for the companies who wanted to drop the expensive agencies and unreliable freelancers. It’s a one stop shop for graphic design needs. From websites, logos, and branding, to promotional materials and social media batch posts, a client is able to receive unlimited projects on a monthly subscription. Communicating feedback and requesting projects is all streamlined through my client management system. I want the world to know that whether you are a startup or an established business, you will always need visual representation. Clients are able to pause or cancel their subscription at anytime and bank the rest of their unused time for use later when they need it. There were many challenges like figuring out the pricing and figuring out how to make the subscription process as simple but useful as possible. A little research and a lot of motivation and passion got me through the challenging steps.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Here in Nashville there are lots of interesting things to do. Personally, I enjoy the arts and Nashville definitely is a home for them. I would recommend visiting the interactive Van Gogh Exhibit for an immersive experience, Art Urban for a messy and fun hands on experience, and take a walk through the city streets for some cool murals! I’d also hang out or take a walk at one of the many parks and trails, or maybe find a good comedy show to sit back and relax at!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out my friends and family. They have always been so supportive of my journey as a graphic designer. From content ideas to reposts of my client work, they have always been there to lift me up and push me forward. It is important to have strong support when starting your own business and I am very blessed to be surrounded by the people that I have in my life right now.
