Meet Amanda Oaks | Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Oaks and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amanda, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of Walk Your Plans Nashville is a deep-rooted passion for helping people make smarter, more confident decisions—especially when it comes to something as personal and impactful as creating a space. Whether it’s a family building their forever home, a designer refining their vision, or a builder trying to avoid costly delays, our mission is to serve as a trusted partner in that journey.
Helping others has always been at the heart of everything I do. Walk Your Plans Nashville was born out of a desire to remove stress and uncertainty from the building process. Too often, clients don’t realize what they really want or need until it’s too late—after walls are up, after money is spent. Our immersive, full-scale projection technology gives people the power to experience their space before a single nail is hammered. That one step can change everything.
Success for us isn’t just about business growth—it’s about creating clarity, saving time, preventing regret, and empowering people to move forward with confidence. That’s what drives me every day, and that’s the heart behind the brand.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I come from a rural community where resources were limited but dreams were big. From a young age, I knew that if I wanted a different life, I’d have to work for it—and I did. I absorbed everything I could from the business owners, entrepreneurs, and leaders I met along the way, treating every job and every moment like a learning opportunity. I never led with money in mind. I led with heart, with service, and with the belief that if I took care of people, success would follow.
Six months before the world shut down during the pandemic, I became a business owner. It was terrifying timing, but I held tight to my vision and pressed forward, one step at a time. Since that day, I’ve grown in ways I never imagined—personally, professionally, and spiritually.
Walk Your Plans Nashville was born out of my desire to serve others in a way that truly matters. We offer an immersive, full-scale projection experience that allows people to walk through their building or renovation plans before construction begins. It’s about preventing costly mistakes, saving time, reducing stress, and bringing clarity to what is often a very overwhelming process. What sets us apart is our commitment to truly helping people feel confident in their decisions—not just selling a service.
What I’m most proud of is that every bit of what we have was built from the ground up—with grit, faith, and an unshakable belief in the people we serve. It wasn’t easy. There were long nights, moments of doubt, and more than a few obstacles. But I leaned into community, into mentorship, and into the lessons life had already taught me: stay humble, stay hungry, stay rooted in purpose.
I want the world to know that Walk Your Plans Nashville is more than just a business—it’s a movement. A way to reimagine how we plan spaces, how we serve people, and how we build with intention. My story is proof that you can come from humble beginnings and create something powerful when you lead with your heart and never stop showing up.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Without a doubt, my biggest shoutout goes to my husband, James. He is the steady rock in our family—the one who holds it all together behind the scenes, often without asking for recognition. His unwavering support, calm presence, and constant care allow me to show up fully in the world and in my work. He’s the kind of partner who makes sure everyone has what they need, who brings peace when things feel chaotic, and who reminds me of what truly matters.
Building Walk Your Plans Nashville and pursuing my passion for helping others wouldn’t be possible without the foundation of love, encouragement, and stability James provides. While I’m out there dreaming big and pushing boundaries, he’s the one making sure our family stays grounded and whole. His belief in me—even on the days when I’ve doubted myself—has been everything.
So this shoutout is for him—for all the late-night conversations, the unseen sacrifices, and the daily acts of love that make all the difference. James, you are the heart of our home, and I’m endlessly grateful to walk this journey with you.
