We had the good fortune of connecting with Alicia Ciak and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alicia, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
Other than deciding to work for myself, the single most important decision I made that contributed to my success was working with various different mentors from a very young age. I absorbed absolutely everything they taught me around marketing, sales, coaching, & more. By age 22 years old I had invest nearly $100k into mentors myself (100% of my own money, no business loans included). However, before I started investing into mentors, I started with listening to various podcasts, books, and followed other business owners on social media to learn as much as possible from them.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Hey, my name is Alicia Ciak and I have my own female fitness app called Alicia’s Fit Alpha Females. My fitness app not only provides users with a customized workout & easy to follow recommended meal plan at an affordable price, but also focuses heavily on personal development and helping women become whatever a “Fit Alpha Female” means to them — for some this could be around becoming a badass mom who feels good in her clothes and wakes up with energy while for others it could mean having the confidence to get that promotion at work and improve their relationship with their significant other. What sets my training app apart from others in the industry is the focus we have on female empowerment & building up a community of women who all support each other with becoming the next best version of themselves.

Starting any brand as a small business owner as been without a doubt the hardest but most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. There’s been multiple highs but also devastating lows. However, the one thing that continues (and will always) be my motivating factor to continue working hard is remembering how much of an impact my brand has already made for so many women, but also how many more still need our help.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend visiting for an entire week, here’s what I’d recommend we’d check out during their stay:

Hike at Cummings Falls for gorgeous waterfall views.

Take them downtown Broadway to explore the bars and get the full experience. Grab a Daddy’s Dog hotdog on the way home.

Explore the Gulch & shops. Stop in LA Jackson for an amazing rooftop bar

Take them to Midtown bars such as Losers & Dogwood for more live music in the evening.

Have a nice dinner one night at Oak Steakhouse or the Frank Sinatra Bar & Lounge

Take them to the Grand Ole Opry & show them around and/or take them to a concert there

Hit up the Bagel Shop for breakfast one day and Frothy Monkey for coffee

Hit up Sunny’s to grab a drink and play some cornhole

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank my family for always believing and supporting me from the moment I wanted to start my own business. I would also like to thank my mentors & consultations for helping me learn and grow as a young business owner.
