We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexis Soler and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexis, how do you think about risk?
There is always risk in taking chances. Depending on how you move forward through that risk is what makes you successful. Entrepreneurship is made up of risks because every decision has an effect on the next and it’s impossible to move backward. Nothing can prepare you for being entrepreneur except for experience and learning from mistakes but overall you must be a risk taker at heart.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I will start of by saying, I love my businesses. They are me and I am them. I think being a successful at any good business requires conviction and a strong voice and values yet openness and willingness to evolve and really listen to the people that work with and support you. Success is not easy. It shouldn’t be easy. It is a journey. Each one of my bars is different because I am committed to my evolution and pushing myself and fostering new ideas. I draw inspiration from everywhere, everyday.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A week is a good amount of time for a nashville visit. I mean I can make a list of my current go tos: Kisser, SS Gai or Fatbelly Deli for lunch.
Rolf and Daughters, folk, St. Vito or Frankie’s for dinner. Locust anytime if you can ever get a reservation.
I check on my bars at night when I am out, I frequent attaboy. Rosemary is a fun time. I love hiking so I usually make my friends go hike at-least a couple miles at Percy Warner or Beaman or go see a waterfall because we are lucky enough to live in a state that has endless amounts of them. I love the symphony but don’t force that on my friends.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to anyone who has ever been part of my team. Sometimes we only get to touch each others lives for a short time and some for years. Either way I have learned something profound from every individual and I am grateful for the experience whether good and the bad.

Also my mentors John Lermayer and Dan Binkiewicz.
