We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrienne P. Bowling Ma and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adrienne P., Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
If I had to choose a favorite principle, it would be stewardship. Being a business owner, especially as a notary, has taught me the true importance of stewarding everything I’m entrusted with.

Stewardship is essential in estate planning. When you create a will, assign power of attorney, or establish a living will, you’re taking steps to protect your legacy and relieve your loved ones from difficult decisions. Each of these actions reflects good stewardship over your life and your family’s future.

I’ve also learned the value of stewarding my time and resources. Free time isn’t really “free” — it requires management. Managing time, money, and resources wisely is critical. Though I’m not a financial advisor, I believe in the biblical principle of tithing. The Bible says, “Prove me and see if I will not pour you out a blessing you won’t have room to receive.” God challenges us to try Him, to steward what He’s given us with faith.

Finally, I strive to be a good steward of my clients and my network. Building relationships and serving clients with integrity is at the core of my business.

Stewardship wasn’t a principle I expected to learn when I started, but it’s become foundational to everything I do.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My background is in clinical psychology, and I was working on my master’s degree when I started this business as a single mom with two small children. My journey has not been easy, but my faith, along with the principles of psychology, behavioral health, and ethics, has shaped every aspect of my work.

When I created my logo—a classic car with a pink flare—I wanted something timeless and compassionate. The color pink, to me, represents caring and empathy. We are a trusted and professional brand, but we go beyond “business as usual.” We genuinely care about our clients. When a loved one is in the hospital, they deserve someone who not only provides professional service but who respects their dignity. No one should feel pressured or robbed of the chance to complete their estate planning, even if it’s seemingly “last minute.”

I believe deeply in benevolence and integrity, and I’m not shy about my faith. While I don’t impose it, I do offer prayer to clients. One powerful memory is of an esteemed anesthesiologist in hospice who initially resisted prayer, yet eventually accepted. His family later told me that he gave his life to Christ before he passed—a moment that reminded me of the man on the cross who accepted Jesus in his final moments. It reaffirmed to me that business is also a ministry.

There was a time I lost my way, putting my focus on the creation rather than the Creator. But Jesus has been my foundation, and I’ve dedicated my business to Him. Early on, I understood that collaboration is key. I built a network to support marginalized and disenfranchised communities, and my faith gives me the strength to operate with an abundance mindset. I know there is enough opportunity for us all to thrive.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m taking them to visit all the minority business owners I know because we don’t receive enough credit, recognition, or visibility in tourism. Thanks to Corner to Corner, I’ve been introduced to many incredible entrepreneurs in the city, and I’m excited to highlight their services to everyone I meet

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
If I had to give credit, it would go to my dad, the Bible, and YouTube.

At the time, I was working on my master’s, raising a toddler, and money was tight. I was frustrated, feeling stuck. My dad told me, “Execute the plan.” I thought, *What plan?* All I had was school, which was taking longer than I’d hoped. But then he added, “Expedite.” That word lit a fire in me—I knew I had to take action, and quickly.

He reminded me that I didn’t need to reinvent the wheel. So, I went to YouTube, searching for business ideas that didn’t require much upfront investment. That’s when I stumbled upon notary work. It was affordable to start and had a great return on investment. But here’s the thing—I had been a notary for six years and hadn’t made more than $100. The issue wasn’t the business; it was my mindset.

That’s when a scripture came to mind: *“Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”* I realized I had been treating it like a side hustle, not a real business. My dad’s advice, YouTube, scripture, and the wisdom of the Holy Spirit completely shifted my perspective. That change in mindset transformed my life.
