Meet LaLa Jones | Spiritualist, Tarot Reader and Wedding Officiant

We had the good fortune of connecting with LaLa Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi LaLa, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Honestly, I was going through a major career transition at the time. Life was shifting, and I found myself at a crossroads—asking some real, deep questions about who I was, what I wanted, and how I wanted to show up in the world.
Starting my own business wasn’t just about income. It was about impact. I knew I wanted to be a part of something meaningful, something that helped people face their fears, unpack their truth, and embrace the changes they were going through. I’ve always been drawn to the inner work, the uncomfortable but necessary conversations, the healing journeys, the spiritual realignments.
So I decided to create a space where all of that could live. Where people could be supported, seen, and spiritually equipped to not only get through their challenges, but to grow through them. That was the spark. I turned my own transformation into fuel for helping others find theirs.
And I haven’t looked back since.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work is all about helping people heal, grow, and align with their higher self. Through The Epiphany Dreams Life, I offer spiritual coaching, energy work, wedding officiating, and handcrafted metaphysical jewelry. Everything I do is rooted in intention and guided by Spirit. I create sacred space for people to get real with themselves and do the inner work needed for true transformation.
It has not been easy, especially as a single parent running this business on my own. There have been moments of exhaustion, doubt, and sacrifice, but it has been fulfilling. Every step I take is a lesson for my son, to show him that he can face challenges head on and not be overwhelmed by them. He is my greatest motivation and the reason I keep pushing forward.
What I want the world to know is that The Epiphany Dreams Life is more than just a brand. It is a calling. It is a reminder that you can create the life you dream of by doing the work within. I am just here to help guide and support that journey with love and truth.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit for a week, I would want it to feel like a perfect blend of peace, fun, and soul care. We would start off with a camping trip to Rock Island or Fall Creek Falls. I love being near water and surrounded by nature. It is such a beautiful way to reset. I would do most of the cooking since I am vegan and love making fresh meals that nourish us. Think grilled veggies, fruit platters, veggie burgers, s’mores, maybe some herbal tea by the fire while we talk under the stars.
Once we got back into town, we would head to Sunflower Cafe for lunch. Their food is always a treat. Then we would go thrift shopping. I found this gem of a spot called Thriftlove in Columbia a few months ago and it has such good energy. We would try on fun pieces and probably leave with bags of treasures. And if there is an artist we both love performing, you already know we are going to the Ryman. That place holds a vibe like no other.
The rest of the week would be slow and intentional. Maybe a visit to a local metaphysical shop, a sound bath or reiki session, or even just some quiet time journaling. I love creating space for moments that pour back into us. Good food, nature, laughter, deep talks, and just flowing. That is the kind of visit that stays with you.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely. My son is my biggest motivation and driving force. Every move I make, every goal I set, he is always at the center of it. I want him to see what it looks like to choose purpose over fear and to walk in faith even when things are uncertain. He inspires me to keep going and to build something he can be proud of.
I also want to give a huge shoutout to my ancestors. Their strength, their prayers, and their sacrifices are the foundation I stand on. I feel their presence guiding me, protecting me, and reminding me of who I am and where I come from.
And of course, I give thanks to Spirit for divine alignment. Whether it was a book that shifted my mindset or a random conversation that brought clarity, there have been moments that I know were not by accident. So my shoutout is to my son, my ancestors, and the divine flow that continues to carry me.
