We had the good fortune of connecting with Adam Visbeen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adam, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of Music City Gents is the Gents themselves and the brotherhood which has sought after a common goal.

We sought out to break the mold and create something truly unique for Nashville. Nashville, or ‘Nashvegas,’ has always been known for country music, but not necessarily for high-energy, theatrical shows. We saw an opportunity to bring something fresh to the city—an immersive, unforgettable experience designed for bachelorettes and ladies’ nights.

What started as a wild idea—a group of young cowboys coming off the farm to make some extra money—quickly evolved into something much bigger. A brotherhood was formed, and with that, a shared vision: how do we craft a show that’s not just entertaining but also unforgettable? We wanted to go beyond the hats and boots, showcasing the raw talent and diverse skills of our performers. That’s when we began incorporating more unique acts, diverse music, and a blend of talents that went far beyond the traditional male revue.

Our success comes from that relentless drive to innovate, to push boundaries, and to give our audience an experience that stays with them long after the night is over. The unity of our team and our refusal to accept ‘this won’t work in Nashville’ as an answer is what made Music City Gents the success it is today.”

Once we set out to grow this company, we faced multiple adversities and challenges. But the Gents remained unwavering in our vision. We lost a venue overnight due to a management shift in the middle of a season. Competitors came and went. We secured a long-term contract with Hard Rock Café while Magic Mike was in the same brand venue in Vegas—only to lose it overnight due to COVID. When we finally found a building where we could explore our own show and push the boundaries of creativity, our contractor walked off the job, leaving us at a stalemate for over two years, forcing us to go back to Broadway.

But through it all, we never stopped. We never gave up. And now, in April of this year, Music City Gents will finally step into our own building—where there are no limitations on our creativity, no restrictions on our vision. This journey has been about perseverance, unity, and the relentless pursuit of bringing something unforgettable to Nashville. That’s the heart of the Gents.”

What should our readers know about your business?
Every business is started in order to make money however, when this started it was just a crazy idea. Once we realized that we had a product that people enjoyed we knew that it was not a fluke.

“I want the world to know that Music City Gents is more than just a show—it’s a movement, a story of resilience, brotherhood, and breaking the mold. It is also a care free place that anyone can attend and have a great time in a judgement free zone!
When we started, people told us a male revue wouldn’t work in Nashville, a city dominated by country music. But we refused to accept that. We saw an opportunity to bring something fresh, something unforgettable, and we ran with it.

I want people to go after their crazy ideas, be the leader and create the brotherhood within your team because they will go to the ends of the earth for each other when that bond is created. For those who are going to get after their crazy idea the one piece of advice I can give you is this; when you think on giving up, when its overwhelming, and it takes more time, money, and energy from you then you ever thought or planned for, remember, it is not about you – therefore, you must continue on, for them, your team.

Our story is one of perseverance. We’ve faced every obstacle you can imagine—losing venues overnight, navigating through the uncertainty of COVID, watching competitors come and go, even being left in limbo for two years when a contractor walked off the job. But through it all, we never stopped. The Gents were built on grit and determination, and that’s why we’re still here, stronger than ever.

More than anything, I want people to know that Music City Gents is about more than hats and boots. It’s about talent, passion, and giving our audiences an experience they’ll never forget. And now, with our own venue finally opening, we have no limits on what we can create. This isn’t just entertainment—it’s a statement that if you believe in something enough, and you’re willing to fight for it, you can build something incredible, no matter how many times you get knocked down.”

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I think the answer to the prior question is the answer to this one – the Gents. The vision would never had occured without the tenacity of the team and the unity of the our vision to create something amazing together. We all knew we never could do it alone.
