Meet Owen Tower | Lead Singer of the Tower Brothers

We had the good fortune of connecting with Owen Tower and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Owen, what are you inspired by?
I think I can speak for both my brother and me when I say that our biggest inspiration has always been our parents. Throughout our lives, our mom and dad have stood by our side, constantly encouraging us to strive for more and be the best versions of ourselves. Much of my motivation comes from their unwavering support and the subtle, yet powerful, sense of responsibility that comes with knowing people truly believe in you. We’re also deeply inspired by our listeners. The thought of complete strangers listening to our music on the daily blows my mind. I want to keep pushing out content and music for those people who like us.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The Tower Brothers is made up of me, my brother Jack, our guitarist Tom and drummer Quinten. Together we create a true alternative, indie-power-pop sound, with heavy guitars, lots of rifts, and infections melodies.
What sets us apart is our unique songwriting style and our unorthodox cord progressions. We also try to tell stories through our lyrics that bring forward lots of different ways to interpret what each song is about.
We released 4 songs this year, ‘Choke’ ‘Moving Song’ ‘My Car’ and ‘My House’ which is a great start but we really want to reach a new release every other month. So the year 2025 is what we are most excited for, we have a lot of songs at the ready that we are going to put out.
So far nothing on this journey has been easy. Balancing a music career start up with our regular daily responsibilities and 9-5 jobs keep us all very busy every day. We got to where we are today through consistent efforts, and hard work which is the only way to do it. We’ve learned not to leave any stone unturned because you never know where the next great opportunity is coming from.
I want the world to know that our band represents all the working class folks. We struggle just like everyone else and we put that into our music in hopes others will resonate with us. We want the Tower Brothers to be a community for everyone and we hope that our brotherly love with spread love to anyone who listens.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If we had a best bud visiting the city we would definitely hit our favorite brewery Tennessee Brew Works for some beer and good eats. We are all suckers for a good cheese burger and a cold beer. I’d also want to take them to a Nashville Sounds game. I swear the sounds are the most fun AAA Baseball Team in the country. Next I’d head to east Nashville for some live music at the Cobra or the East Room and we can’t forget the Basement East.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to my band mates Jackson Tower, Thomas Prescott, and Quinten Cohen. These three guys are my best friends and the best creative partners I could ask for. All of these guys picked up their lives and moved to Nashville to be in this band. The hours on hours of practicing, recording, and performing are what make us the band we are and we couldn’t achieve any of that without each member of the group.
