Meet Justine Blanchet | Country Singer-Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Justine Blanchet and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Justine, do you have a budget?
As an artist, it takes a while to see the royalties that result from a song release. Budgets are somewhat dependent on the previous single’s success. Some expenses are necessary to keep my business running, such as website upkeep, social media, marketing, and business licenses. At this point, it is expected to have to front some money before seeing a return.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My journey in music began when i was four years old. That’s when i started playing piano. I, then, began singing in the opera genre at the age of 12 years old following a stay at the hospital for a burst appendix and sepsis. Around the age of 15, i changed genres to country music and started writing my own songs. Ever since then, I’ve been releasing about 2 singles every year. My debut EP came out June of 2023. It has definitely not been easy. There are many challenges, the biggest one being finances. I thing what sets me apart is that i started really young and my songwriting style has many levels. I’ve learned that patience is the key. It takes a long time to get to great places and your heart has to be in the right place. I want the world to know that i write and perform to bring other people’s stories to life and to make them feel heard and understood.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Nashville, TN and my favorite spots are actually just outside of Nashville. Franklin, TN is just south of Nashville and the drive has one of the best views that i’ve ever seen. The food is amazing, especially at Puckett’s. I would take us around some landmarks in Nashville as well, including, all the studios and Dolly Parton’s house on Music Square. Nashville has many neighborhoods so we would definitely visit as many as possible. If there’s a concerts or artist playing at the Bluebird or the Listening Room, that’s always a good time too!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my parents who help me launch this dream and support me since the beginning. Also, a shoutout to everybody who has helped me along the way, the list of names is too long, but you know who you are. Thank you so much.
