Meet Magical Girl Cosmic

We had the good fortune of connecting with Magical Girl Cosmic and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Magical Girl Cosmic, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Work life balance in the pro wrestling world is tricky.
The truth is a lot of Indy wrestlers don’t have a traditional 9-5 job.
Different promotions have different run days and most on the weekends but some bigger promotions run week days.
Imagine have to ask for a day off from your pay your bills job to go work on your dreams.
Aside from that you need to go to the gym and also go to pro wrestling training to keep the ring rust away.
I still find time to make my cosplays, play video games and watch shows.
My instagram is sorta like my day to day diary where you can see me at the gym, wrestling and any other side quest I happen to be on.
Lately I’ve been trying to make home made Sauerkraut, why?
Because why not?
On most days I find myself running from place to place as if I’m late for a very important date.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a pro- wrestler you will meet lots of wrestlers who have always known they wanted to wrestler since they were 5 years old or younger.
I didn’t watch wrestler as a kid, I got into it late in my life but all it took was to watch one women’s match and I wanted to try it.
I googled a pro wrestling school near me and just showed up
It was an over night decision with little to no back story.
I just wanted to try it and did. I’m now in my 3rd year wrestling on the Indy scene.
So if you have anything you just want to try, just show up. It’s the first step for any path you go down.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Korea town is one of my favorite neighborhoods in New York City.
I’d start at Time Square.
Take them to food Gallery 32 in Korea Town and then take a hot girl walk to Union square or Washington Square Park.
Central Park is also beautiful and fun to ride a citibike through.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My pro-wrestling school : The Fallout Shelter and Battle Club pro.
My coaches Prince Ahmed and Jorge Santi who have taken a lot time and effort to make sure I’m learning.
