We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda & Belinda Marshall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amanda & Belinda, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My daughter, Amanda Marshall, and I both moved here from Southern California approx 4 years ago. As we were starting a new chapter of our lives here in Clarksville, Tn. we wanted to open a business symbolizing our new beginning.
We are both very fitness oriented and Amanda has made fitness her career so it made sense to open a business in that genre.
As we looked around at our new community we didn’t find a spin studio. As spin is one of our passions we decided to make that our focus. We also believe strongly in weight training for a healthy body and so incorporated small group strength training into our concept. Our spin room accommodates 20 people and the group strength training accommodates 6 at a time with a certified personal trainer. We like to say we train the body on the strength floor and the mind in the spin room and between the two we train the spirit! Hence, Trifecta Fitness – BODY MIND SPIRIT

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a small boutique fitness studio owned and operated by a dynamic mother-daughter duo! Belinda Marshall is the mom who has owned and operated various businesses throughout her life. Amanda Marshall is the daughter who is a certified personal trainer and has been in gymnastics and volleyball all her life. She has been on staff and assisted in opening many well known fitness studios in the past 10 years. Between the 2 of us we have brought our experience and expertise to Trifecta Fitness.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would have to start here in Clarksville as that is where we live! We’d hit up downtown and maybe catch a show at the Roxy Theater and have dinner at Black Horse Pub or The Mailroom and take a walk up main street to The Vine wine bar for a nice end to the evening.

We would have to take a trip out to Nashville and hit up Broadway to show our visiting friend the heart of honky tonk heaven. We love to eat at Blanca for some excellent authentic mexican food and also Assembly Food Hall where there is something for everyone. One of our fav honky tonks is The Lucky Bastard so we’d have to head there to dance to whatever awesome band they have playing at the time!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our members! The ones who found us first and have stayed with us ever since and brought their friends, relatives and co workers in to ride or train with us. They have spread the word and motivated us when the going was rough as a new business. We love and appreciate each and every one of them.
