We had the good fortune of connecting with Keleshia Denman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keleshia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I just remember seeing so many people branch out in individual success. I’ve worked my whole life and when Covid started entrepreneurship was on the rise. I thought this is the perfect time for me to show the world that as an individual I am very talented.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am not your everyday artist. Using a social media platform has become one of the last options of mine. I am from the “old school” as some would say. Word of mouth works well for me. I am most proud of always allowing my client to choose their looks. I think that’s the easy part for me. I’ve learned that the more involved a person is the more satisfied they will be. The challenges come when they can’t make up their minds. I think that is the hardest part. I want the world to know that my brand stands for individuality. It was created because of my want to be treated as an individual not just another worker.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am the life of the party so there is no limit to places to go and things I would like to do. Honestly, I like to google some of the most popular spots around and then visit. I also love variety so I don’t keep it to minimum choices. We’d try soul food restaurants, hibachi, and even high profile spots. Activities go without saying. I’m a very active person so I like Top Golf, arcades, zip lining, and I’d even do rock climbing if available. Lol I love to visit museums and historical places too.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my family and my daughter. For years, my mom and sisters have always encouraged me to go for the goal. They have stood with me through many trials. My daughter was everything I needed to stay motivated. She was the reason I needed to keep going.
