We had the good fortune of connecting with Datboyjunnie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Datboyjunnie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process was to Learn, Plan, Then Execute. I spent years learning about the career I am Pursuing; The Ups, The Downs, The Pros, The Cons you literally everything. I spent majority of my time looking at and learning from those who came before me and how they began their journey and how their journey ended and I applied it to my brands structure and foundation. I wanted to learn what to do and what not to do when the times is right. My biggest dilemma was 2nd guessing myself! I’m not perfect but I’m a Perfectionist when i do things. I sometimes will do things over and over until it’s is done to my pleasing or until I’m satisfied with the results. I think a lot and I am an overthinker so I will give myself 1 to 3 times to get things right and whether i do or don’t get it right I will still overthink and continue to do things differently or find new ways to do things even better than before to be able to Compare and Contrast the growth of what I may have presented the 1st 3 times.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The thing that sets us apart from others is our Authenticity; And our ability to stay true to ourselves! We came in not wanting to be like everyone else but better in our own right. It was a hobby at first until we started gaining recognition from others telling us to take our career path serious. I’m proud of the fact that we were able to grow beyond the mentality we had upon start up because along our journey things started to happening that made us all doubt if this as our calling or what we should be doing in life. Anything is possible! We got where we are today off of Faith. Never giving up on something you believe in as well as other various things. It was never easy but worth it! We overcame and continue to overcome things because of our Faith! Giving up was never an option. Most of the lesson learned along the way brought us this far. Trusting your Instincts,Trusting Self, Believing in Ones Self, Diligence, Determination, and Consistency are some of the Major Lessons that we have learned along the way that has kept us where we need to be. We are here to STAY!! #BGMG #3CCMG

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If you have ever been to the City of Atlanta,GA lol which im sure you all have at some point, I would say Downtown! So much excitement, So much fun, So much Love, and Hospitality. It’s really a sight to see! Although that’s not all you can do lol let’s just say you’d have to come for the experience.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The person I dedicate this to is my late cousin “Patrick Howard Booker Charles” you all know him as “Gabuna Vuhtun” a.k.a. “DGLV”, My Brother Ricardo Bell you all know him as “Bgmg Beezy” a.k.a. Sold Out Beezy, and our Brand “BGMG” (Bread Gang Music Group) that until recently we had to revise to “3CCMG” (Cobb Cartel Music Group) due Copyright/Trademark purposes!
