Meet Marty Manous | Artist, Guitarist, Singer, Songwriter.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marty Manous and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marty, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I fell in love with music and the guitar at a young age. The ability to express emotions and create moments that connect with the audience through musical expression is a beautiful and powerful thing. When I first heard Stevie Ray Vaughan thats what I connected with. His ability to express emotions through his guitar playing, singing, and songwriting. Thats what I strive to do as an artist.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am professional guitarist, singer, songwriter, I have recorded and released two albums under my own record label that have received some chart success in the U.K.. In 2023 I performed over 300 shows and started work on my 3rd album. I am currently performing live and finishing up demo sessions that will lead to recording my 3rd album.
The road has not been easy and I have been through a lot personal trauma. I am grateful to say I have made a living solely as a professional musician my entire life and I’m grateful to be able to provide for my family in the music industry.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Whats not to love, there are so many places to visit and such great talent in Nashville you cant go wrong. If its your first time you have to start with the classics, printers alley, broadway and the Ryman museum but I would add to visit 3rd and Lindsley and being a big fan of guitars I would encourage people to visit both Gruhns and Carters vintage guitar shops. Food wise stop by get some BBQ and Hot Chicken you cant go wrong.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have many people I am thankful for in my life that have and continue to be supportive of me and my career; Mom and Dad, Leslie Steinhoff, Katlin Knowles, Bob Schultz, the Knowles Family, and so many more that have been friends, mentors and fans through the years. Thank you for your encouragement and support.
