We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachel Goss and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rachel, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Real estate has always been something I loved. Home architecture. design and building relationships with others is the perfect combination for me. After spending 12 years in corporate marketing I needed to change my focus to allow more time for my family. Building my real estate brand has given me the platform to help others and create a business I am proud of.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Home. It’s not just a house but a place where memories are made, wounds are healed, hearts are mended and laughter is shared. Important aspects of life are curated in the home. This is all very important to me so being able to help others in all the transitions of “home”, wether up-sizing, down-sizing, or moving states, it’s all an honor to be a part of. There are many realtors, therefore when someone chooses to work with me it is not something I take for granted. It’s important to me to be an advocate for them, helping them see what homes could be, negotiating terms that work in their favor and partnering with them throughout the entire process.

Beginning my career in corporate marketing, I learned the importance of creating a brand that is valuable and its the little things I do everyday that create the value. I want to be known as trustworthy, always honoring my clients and whatever they are walking through. I hope who I am as a person and real estate professional, is reflected in how I conduct myself every day.

By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established.
– Proverbs 24:3-4

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love Memphis. I was born and raised here and know this city has so much to offer. If I was hosting a friend from out of town, I know we would have to eat! Lunch at Central BBQ, desert at Frost Bake Shop and Dinner at Souther Social would definitely be on the list. If the Grizzlies were playing we would need to catch a game and you can’t leave Memphis without a visit to Graceland. Memphis is home of the blues, but for me it’s just “home”.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family has always been a big part of my support system. My parents and now my husband are my biggest cheerleaders. They support me, encourage me, and fully invest in all aspects of my life. It’s those people in your life that not only see the good and bad and still support you, the ones that always point you back to what matters and provide the eternal perspective that mean the most. For me, that is my family and I am eternally grateful for them.
