Meet Rob Huff | Creative Juice Squeezer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rob Huff and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rob, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
At the time, I was working with a company overseeing their marketing. What seemed common place working with outside firms was slow response to the needs we had and not always listening to what we were saying or our overall goals. And, they were making a mint doing a poor job. I saw an opportunity and my wife and I launched Image Studios months later with the goal of always responding quickly, always listening to the customer and providing award-winning design at reasonable pricing.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets us apart is listening to the client and delivering on their needs, exceeding their expectations. That makes the estimate they’ve agreed to that much more valuable and likely to use us again repeatedly.

One of the biggest obstacles we faced was sales. Once we got that rolling, word of mouth propelled us into success within just a few years. Happy customers were gladly passing our name along to others and that spread like wildfire.

Probably the most difficult aspect of being in the creative space is keeping solid business practices in the forefront. The end result we deliver for a client justifies the price, but I always wanted to ride the balance of providing tremendous value, return on their investment and even give beyond what they were expecting. That kind of drive led to numerous awards, making us one of the most awarded firms in the Rocky Mountain Region prior to our relocation to Franklin, TN.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We moved to Tennessee in 2011 and have yet to exhaust the possibilities of outdoor adventure vs downtown entertainment. But, if I was to pick some of the funnest and most relaxing activities in the Middle Tennessee area, it would recommend these stops: Arrington Vineyards
Downtown Nashville walk and shop
Predators Game (although to date, I haven’t been to one)
Downtown Franklin walk and shop
Workout/Pickleball at Lifetime Fitness or YMCA
Leipers Fork walk and shop

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Steve Williams. Steve was my real first employer out of college. I had a real desire to get into Christian radio, but was very new in the field. Steve always encouraged me and pushed me to bring out my best. That encouragement meant the world and really helped shape me creatively. It gave me a love and passion for audio production and creativity in general.
