We had the good fortune of connecting with Lamon Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lamon, what principle do you value most?
I value personal connection over everything else. Comedy is about connecting to people as quickly as possible on a personal level.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m alot more calm of a comedian than other and that sets me apart. I was really accepted by other comedians early on and that made things great because comedy has become like a family. I’ve learned branding in the entertainment industry is extremely important and I’m building that brand to match my ability as we speak. I want the world to know that I’m not just a comic you come to see,I’m a comic you feel like you know.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d say we drink on beale. Have lunch at the check-in owned by keedran Franklin at growlers where we can see a show.
Go see comedy at the comedy junt Thursday and Saturday.
And of course visit a few cigar lounged like Robusto and Burning Desire
