We had the good fortune of connecting with Shauna-Gaye Martin-Boothe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shauna-Gaye, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to begin a business doing something I truly enjoy in hopes that one day it will bring me financial freedom.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is Travel with Shauna. Travel with Shauna is a travel agency specializing in All-Inclusive Luxury Travel and Cruises. What separates Travel with Shauna from others is the relentlessness that the Owner Shauna shows in making sure her clients have their dream vacation and making sure all their wants and needs concerning the trip are taken care of.

Travel with Shauna got to where it is today by being consistent in the way the company looks after clients as well as being consistent in the promotion of Travel with Shauna.

Having a Travel Agency in the era of Online Travel Websites is not easy as many people tend to believe that they are fine booking travel on their own. However, Travel with Shauna overcomes these challenges by showing the value of having a travel agent who will be available to resolve all of our client’s issues. If you’ve ever dealt with Online Travel Websites, you know that it is often hard to reach an agent to resolve an issue. However, with Travel with Shauna, our clients do not have that concern as there is always an agent available to resolve any foreseen and unforeseen issues.

The lessons I’ve learned along the way are to always believe in your business and to always put in the work to make your business successful. Nothing happens overnight. Whatever you put into your business is what you will receive from it.

I want the world to know that Travel with Shauna is a brand that delights itself in making sure our customers truly enjoy their vacation experiences. Travel with Shauna will always work tirelessly and relentlessly to make sure our clients have a peaceful vacation and do not have to deal with any issues. If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in Florida. Therefore, if my best friend visited me here, I would take her to Miami. An up-and-coming neighborhood in Miami is Wynwood. Wynwood has a lot of places to drink, eat, visit, and hang out.

In my opinion, some of the coolest places to check out are the Jamaica Restaurant Dunkanoo, The Selfie Museum in Wynwood, the “Rise and Toast” brunch event, downtown Brickell, Jungle Tour Boat Cruise, and the day cruise from Florida to Bimini, Bahamas to list a few. There is a long list of things that can be done in South Florida and the things I’ve mentioned are only the tip of the iceberg,

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to recognize my mother for instilling in me the importance of hard work and education. I would also like to recognize my Uncle Kevin for picking up where my mother left off when she passed away and being a permanent presence in my life.
