We had the good fortune of connecting with Vanessa Caswell-Rodgers and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Vanessa, what do you want people to remember about you?
I would say that I seeked opportunities to served, contributed while on this assignment given to me. I embraced everyone with empathy, compassion, and understanding. Also, I kindly handled every action, no matter how small, and a rippled effect created a significant difference.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The impact we produce is what excites me the most about our organization. In my opinion, It’s undoubtedly not simple. It involves period of hardships, which is what enables success in getting past the obstacles. I’ve come to realize that patience is essential. The world needs to know while developing a business/ organization you must have a vision. Always put your GOD and your heart in every decision you make.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to Biscuits and Jam restaurant for breakfast after they’ve settled in. Then we would visit the schools we mentor, sit with principals and give my guest they’re perspective on how we can add to our journey of saving our children. After that, we would tour the city, visiting Beale Street, Stax Museum, and some local churches, hoping to speak with the ministers to see what task they’re assisting within our schools, families, and communities. Ending the evening at one of our amazing Bar B Q establishments.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
