We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Cabrera and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michael, how do you think about risk?
I believe taking risk is the ultimate way to creating success, but you have to know when to consciously step away from something that may look good, but not be good for you at that moment or time. Risk taking is elevating in your life, you just have to be aware where u take your risk.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a music artist, I focus on hip hop and rap, but also dabble in pop or r&b genres as well just because I grew up on those 90s and early 2000s vibes and songs. I got to where I was by never listening to people who tried to shoot me down, I heard it all from oh this won’t work, to oh you waisting your life, and now I have my multiple avenues in the game plus my college degrees and I’m enjoying myself. The lessons I learned were that you should never underestimate the power of perseverance and determination if you give your all to it, because that’s when magic is made. I want the world to know that Mike can dream came and conquered the world with a dream.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit me this is my intinerary: we’d hit up skinny cantinas or republica for brunch, then go to a few museums for sure, or go to the arcade, if in the mood shop a bit, and then we’d find a place for lunch and chill we may plan to go to a Knicks game or something or just walk around and boom end the night with dancing.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout my team from thorough consulting for believing in me since I was 18 years old and never giving up on me. I wanna shoutout rel carter and the equity distribution family for taking me in and helping me grow and explore the game and succeed. I gotta also thank Scott morris and mor bookings for forever changing my life with the oppurtunities they have presented for me and my artist.
