We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Drury and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lisa, what do you want people to remember about you?
I would want people to know that I truly care , and am not in this business just for the money. I always joke that I will never get rich being a florist. I feel that everyone deserves nice flowers for birthday, anniversary, wedding or funeral. I will work with whatever your budget is to make sure that you have beautiful flowers!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have always loved being creative. Years ago I taught myself to do silk florals. I’ve always loved everything having to do with design. Home decor, flowers , really anything craft. I made silk arrangements for years, and was always intimidated to work with fresh flowers. For some reason they always intimidated me, I guess because when your working with fresh, you can’t just bend and move them around like you can with silk. About 7 years ago, I finally took the leap and applied at a flower shop to be a designer. That’s when I realized that designing flowers, silk or fresh was my passion. I have always wanted to open my own shop and my family has pushed me for years to follow that dream. Five years ago, I took the leap and here we are about to celebrate our 5 year Anniversary of being open!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Downtown Clarksville has the best little shops. From eating at The Blackhorse Pub and Brewery to walking downtown Franklin Street and visiting all of the small businesses. We would probably then head to Nashville and check out some of the small businesses and restaurants there

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My success is all thanks to my family, close friends and of course all of our customers!
