We had the good fortune of connecting with Anna Groos and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anna, what do you want people to remember about you?
In the words of Maya Angelou, “I’ve learned people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
I want people to remember that I made them feel seen. I want them to remember that they were heard and that they mattered.
Being kind is such a simple act that goes a long way. Everyone deserves to feel kindness.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am where I am today because of the support of others; the first person to pay me, the first person to pay me MORE because they wanted me to know my value, the first person to be a repeat client and to tell all of their friends how talented I was and to encourage them to book with me.
Word of mouth was, and still is, my primary form of marketing.
My goal is for others to be reminded of their value. Everyone deserves their time to shine and to feel seen. I want everyone to walk away from their photo session talking about how fun it was. I want them to look back at the photos and remember how much fun they had. I want to capture moments.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Downtown Franklin is a must! A day walking around all of the shops, eating at a local restaurant like Puckett’s, and grabbing a coffee or tea at Frothy Monkey or The Coffee House at Second and Bridge. I can’t begin to count how many days I’ve spent walking around Downtown Franklin. It never gets old.
The Franklin Factory is also a great way to spend a day. They have a farmer’s market on Saturday mornings that is fun!
Another afternoon would be spent Arrington Vineyards, especially if the weather is nice!
Dinner at Barcelona is absolutely on my list. Tapas you won’t forget!
There is so much to in the Nashville area!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My art teacher in high school. She encouraged me and understood why having a creative outlet was so important to my well-being.
