We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela Beatty and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angela, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was born in Nashville, Tennessee as was my mom and her parents and many generations before. I have deep roots there. I have very traditional family values.

I am so grateful to have been raised by a mother who helped me to appreciate the role of a stay at home mom. She was always there when I came home from school and there was a sense of security in that. We didn’t have much, but our home was near and well taken care of. My mother worked very hard in the home and whatever else she decided to do.
My dad, although they weren’t together, was one of the most resilient men I had known. He was anything but lazy and would bounce back from those pitfalls in life. I am so proud and thankful for their examples in life.

My parents examples, my faith and others made huge impacts in my life and are the reason I am who I am today.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I love to do so many things as I have always been a creative thinker. Years ago I started a photography business and soon learned I didn’t like it as a business but more for a hobby. I developed a true passion for cooking for my family and friends. My sis-in-law who is a well know organizer and influencer herself really encouraged me to share my food photos on Instagram. I didn’t really want to do it at first, but once I realized how many people enjoyed my recipes and how helpful it was to them I was happy to post my images and recipes. I love to help people and if I’m doing some thing that I can see is helping them that is my motivation. I also started sharing tidbits about family, arts and crafts that I might do with my younger child as well as inspiring messages. I began receiving so much positive feedback in my private messages of how some of the things that I had shared were really inspiring or uplifting in someway that it really pushed me to continue to share on this platform.

If you find something that you are passionate about and pursue it. Success is an evitable.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I currently reside in the Charlotte North Carolina area. There are so many wonderful restaurants and things to do here. Supperland is a wonderful restaurant for a more elegant dinner. My favorite restaurant is called Pio Pio. It is a Peruvian restaurant. The food is fabulous, well, priced and delicious! There are always wonderful plays at our Blumenthal arts theaters, which makes for a great evening or afternoon. For the outdoor enthusiast, we have the US national Whitewater Center. So many fun things to do there!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband, Howard has been my greatest supporter in whatever I have decided to do and that has been many things over the years. Without his love and support there is no way I would be doing the things I do or have done.
