We had the good fortune of connecting with Jyoti Pugalia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jyoti, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?

Back in December 2021, I kicked off Wellness Bliss Box, driven by my long-standing love for self-care, which took on even more meaning in the past few years.  I lost my amazing mom in 2019 and found myself pondering the ups and downs of life. She was the true definition of selflessness, always putting others first and I came to realize that so many women worldwide juggle being a mother, daughter, leader, wife, sister, and friend, often leaving self-care on the back burner.

This inspired me to start Wellness Bliss Box—a gift box company filled with eco-friendly, organic, and cruelty-free products to help women create their little self-care haven right at home. When it comes to sourcing products, we keep it real by supporting women-owned, minority-owned, and local small businesses. We also recently became WBENC-certified WBE (Women Business Enterprise) to increase partnerships with other women-owned businesses because Wellness Bliss Box isn’t just about pampering—it’s about creating opportunities for everyone and weaving a more inclusive social fabric. We also are very proud to donate a percentage of our profits towards CARE.org, a nonprofit organization that fights poverty and champions social justice worldwide.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

In addition to our pre-curated and custom-curated gifts, we’ve added a new chapter to our story focusing on spreading wellness at the workplace. Multiple surveys have shown that employee wellbeing is highly correlated with productivity and a better workspace environment and we aim to help corporations achieve that with our wellness-focused gifts. Incorporating wellness and mental well-being helps de-stigmatize and create a positive culture, which, in turn, increases employee loyalty and engagement.

At Wellness Bliss Box, our focus is solely on the recipient of your gift. We create curated and customized gifts that show your employees, friends, and family how truly valued they are. Instead of branded merchandise like stress balls or T-shirts, we create thoughtful gifts that are sustainable, eco-friendly, and sourced from equitable small businesses. We also offer customization options that include personalized notecards, tags, tissue papers, or ribbons that can elevate and promote your company’s brand to show genuine care and intentionality.

Our diverse array of gift boxes are great for client/employee onboarding, work anniversaries, thank you gifts, employee recognition, and all those other special milestones.

So if you are looking for highly customized team and client gifts while elevating your brand,  fill out the inquiry form – https://wellnessblissbox.com/pages/client-gifting and our team will reach out to you within 24-48 hours.

Wellness Bliss Box, Spreading Joy, one gift at a time!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would start with breakfast at Thistle Farm Cafe – they have something for everyone and I love their mission of supporting women who have been victims of domestic violence. To burn that calorie, I would take them to Parthenon and explore the West Nashville areas – L&L market, Nations, and Sylvan Park area for some fun shopping. I would then take them to my favorite Pizza place Nicky’s Coal Fired Pizza. After that we would explore another fun area 12 South, I would take some fun mural pictures and take them to different boutique shops. Next, we would get high tea or coffee at Frothy Monkey to get over the afternoon slump. We would then head back home to relax before going out for the night. For the evening, I would like them to have some experience of Broadway, so I will take them to Ole’ Red Bar with Live music and then head to dinner at Sixty Vines. We would then finally end the night by taking them to some of my favorite rooftop hotel Bars like Graduate Hotel, Bobby Hotel, Noelle, and 1Hotel to enjoy the best views of Nashville while having amazing drinks.
