Meet Anthony Pugh-Roberts | Landscape photographer and encourager

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Pugh-Roberts and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anthony, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
Giving up is not an option. It’s crosses my mind a lot and the pressure can get too much but, there’s no option to give up. Too many people rely on my work and what I put out. I take that serious.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I got sober from alcohol in 2008 and did a lot of learning and growing. It took a deep look inside my self which is never easy or fun at the time. Every bit of it was worth it. That gave me the strength to do what I’m doing now.
Weather, travel, mental fitness are the road blocks that challenge my creative process and the work I do.
Traveling and getting out even when it seems too much is the way I push through. Just get in my car and drive.
The best outings are the unplanned. Just go.
I’ve learned so many lessons. My inner strength is the biggest and the absolute biggest is that there are so many people that can’t get out and see this amazing country so it’s my job to do it.
I do what I do for others and that’s my motivation. I do sell prints and do tours but my biggest success is helping the people that can’t get out.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This is easy, blueridge parkway in North Carolina. We could start at the Smokies in Tennessee and work our way over there. First stop Cherokee North Carolina.
Qualla Java coffee.
Hands down the best coffee ever.
If your hungry many dinners in the area, a short trip down the parkway to Waynesville to Beach mountain dinner. Excellent food choices for original and vegetarian food.
Many spots on the parkway for hikes, photography, sunsets, sunrises, birds, general landscapes. Waterfalls galore on the highways off the parkway. It will be a week of adventure.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Wow, that’s loaded. There’s so many people that have pushed me, never let me give up. My parents Micheal and Sandy have been huge in this and so have all my facebook family.
There’s just too many people to mention in this.
