We had the good fortune of connecting with Flynn Hendrix and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Flynn, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor of my success, well even my longevity is a combination of consistency and adaptability.

Once you reach a certain level, what got you there, won’t keep you there. You HAVE to grow. You HAVE to evolve. Study those who came before you – learn from their successes, learn from their failures. Don’t be afraid to ask questions if you’re able to contact them.

Don’t be afraid to adapt to change. If it can happen…guess what? It will. I’ve seen it. I’ve lived it…multiple times over. If the path was a straight line, everyone and their mother would’ve already been doing it. So many get turned off when one thing goes off script for what they’d envisioned…and ultimately end up missing something that could’ve been 10x better than what they originally wanted.

Consistency and adaptability have been key for the success of Flynn Hendrix Ent. and it’s not just brand wise either, its in every day life too. Staying consistent and having an idea of where you want to go, but being open to detours has given me many moments and wins that I never thought I’d have.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
In the corporate world I’m a Manufacturer’s Rep for 8 (as of now) companies. My territory covers all of Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle region. This ranges from traffic safety, to electric, to PPE and eyewear, to matting and a whole lot more.

So chances are, if you’re in one of those areas and take a look around you, something you’re looking at something I’m responsible for. I work with multiple distributors to get these various product lines to their almost endless amount of end-users.

An extensive career centered around service – from retail, to personal training, to First Aid, Safety and OSHA Compliance (yes, I’m OSHA Certified), to now being a Manufacturer’s Rep…it’s been a journey where if you looked at all these pieces individually, you might not see a connection.

However, all of that played a major part in getting me to where I am now, and coincidentally enough, has helped in my entertainment work with Flynn Hendrix Ent, and vice versa. Both sides of the Flynn-Yang…(I think I just created something new!) have helped me become more well rounded and to be in the moment.

Whether I’m in the ring in front of hundreds…or even thousands on worldwide television or pay-per-view (thank you WWE), on a movie set or stage with a fellow actor, or having a conversation with one of my distributors, all of this has helped me have a strong, diverse background with a cool-calm & collected approach to any situation at hand.

I guess you could say I’m the all around utility player – you can plug me into any situation and I’ll make it work.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
With all the construction and constant traffic in Nashville, it’s hard to say that there’d be a chance to show someone the best week ever.

Unless your definition is road closures, potholes and never-ending traffic.

But I’ll put away my cynicism for a minute. Some mandatory things would be visiting Centennial Park, eating at the Lost Paddy (I have a lot of Irish in my family, so this place is a no-brainer), outside of that, a trip to Chattanooga, TN for Rock City is something I’d like to do again, and this sounds like the perfect time to do it.

I’ve also never been to Fall Creek Falls near East TN, so I guess we could throw that in too…anything to get away from the traffic here!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to give quite a few shoutouts, and please forgive me if I forget anyone…

First and foremost, my wife and sons. I’ve sacrificed so much time away from them, all to chase a dream that will hopefully provide a better life for them, and encourage them to follow their dreams no matter how big. They sacrifice more than anyone else. My wife is a saint for putting up with a husband like me that has a creative mind that never shuts off and often drives him crazier than crazy. Whether she knows it or not, she keeps me grounded.

My family, for supporting these crazy dreams and endeavors going back to when I was in high school unsure of where to start and whether they agreed or not, supporting me on all these crazy detours along the way. And of course, for bailing me out whenever I was in over my head and never holding it against me.

Terry England and Brandon Wilson – for trusting me to be the face of your companies – Ultimate Championship Wrestling and Triple Crown Wrestling – almost 17 years into my wrestling career and I’m front and center for your promotions. Your trust to help teach and work with the next generation of talent, to represent you publicly, and carry the banner…words will never do justice to how much it means.

To any younger, up & coming wrestlers that have trusted me enough to ask for advice, thank you. I hope what I’ve given will help you carry on and pay it forward to something I’ve loved since childhood.

My agents at Crown North, for seeing something in me and wanting me as a part of your roster. You’ve given me opportunities that I always thought were well out of reach.

To my friends, peers and people supporting from afar…thank you. Whether you’ve doubted me, or supported me…you’ve motivated me. Thank you.
