Meet Taylor Huff | Painter & Vocalist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Huff and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylor, what do you want your legacy to be?
What a big question. Mostly that I had fun! I hope people can tell when they look at my paintings that I had so much fun creating them. I paint with such bright vivid colors that make me happy and I hope that is shared with the people who look at my paintings. I want them to feel warmth and joy like I do as I’m creating. That’s what I want my legacy to be.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m still learning so much! My first year professionally painting was full of art shows and in person sales. I had so much fun meeting the people purchasing my art and seeing their faces when they looked at my creations. It kept me driven and motivated to keep painting. It definitely has not been easy and I am far from making a living off of this but I continue to think of ideas and keep myself creative. I know I will get there one day soon.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite things to do in Nashville are going to my vocal lessons and learning from my vocal coaches. I am a painter but my other passion is singing. I have a couple songs out on Spotify and am working to get more music out there! It is music city after all!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to shout out to my ancestors for creating such a colorful town. I truly believe that this creativity was passed down through my genetics. If you look at towns in Colombia you will see all the bright vivid colors of the homes, sidewalks and murals that are painted everywhere. Especially in towns like Bogotá and Cartagena.
