We had the good fortune of connecting with Britainé Garvins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Britainé, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Work Life Balance is an ongoing effort these days for me as my family is continuously growing. We now have two amazing boys, which cuts into my work schedule tremendously.

I was used to working early and long hours practically 7 days a week, but learning how to decrease my work schedule so that I can have more family time has been my main goal since our first son was born.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

My esthetic has always been soft glam and textured hair. I don’t provide services that I don’t like to do and I don’t accept disrespect from anyone. After being in the beauty industry for over almost two decades, I’ve learned to accept constructive criticism and not to take everything personal.

I believe what sets me apart from other artists is my ability to create an experience for my clients versus only performing a service. My goal in mind with every client is to treat them how I would like to be treated. Customer service is key. No one wants to be treated poorly or unfair.
