Meet Sue Belle | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sue Belle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sue, why did you pursue a creative career?
I have always had a love for photography, but it wasn’t until COVID that i found myself out of a job and not exactly knowing what to do that i decided to turn it into a career. As a former marketing and events assistant it made sense to mesh these two ideas and start providing Wedding and Event Photography. For my entire life i really have always gone against the grain when it came to finding “work” for myself. I have never wanted the 9-5 typical type job. I have always chosen the career paths that were more creative and non con-formative. Anything that enable’s me to use my imagination or be inspired by has been the driving force of my “why”. .
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
So as a photographer it can be so hard to break into the Wedding and Events industry. But having a background in working events has helped tremendously in building this business. Having an eye for design I am able to provide my clients with ideas and planning assistance. In turn this helps create a space for us to capture the day exactly how they envisioned.
Now it hasn’t always been easy to gain the clients trust in such an over saturated market. Nor has it been easy to set ourselves apart from other photographers in our area. But with a little perseverance and hard work at staying consistent with our finished product we have managed to create our own brand with moody warm tones.
We strive to learn new techniques and ways of producing wonderful images for all of our clients. We also pride ourselves in curating beautiful styled shoots to help other photographers build on their own portfolios. It is our goal to create a community of like minded and talented photographers that work together for their clients, not against one another.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So i am a lover of the Smoky Mountains no doubt and would take them to all my favorites spots up that way. However i am also a city gal and love everything about downtown Knoxville. Cafe 4 is my go to restaurant to eat at and enjoy good people watching on their patio. It offers a great corner spot to sit and see all of what market square has to offer up for city nightlife. My other little go to is the Infamous “speak easy” The Peter Kern Library that is hidden within the backside of the historic Oliver Hotel. This is a fun spot to cap the night off with some wonderful cocktails. Afterwards taking a stroll through the art exhibits if we so happen to catch a First Friday art walk. I am a lover of all types of art and thoroughly enjoy seeing other people’s work as it inspires me to be creative in my own artistic endeavors.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
So my shout out is definitely to my business partner, Tinny G. for not only her friendship but her mentorship as well. For if not having had her as my cheerleader i am unsure if Evermore Productions would even exist honestly. Having someone that also has a passion for the same thing as you has been instrumental in creating a thriving business.
